Hosting should not be the hard part. Storage and bandwidth cost us almost nothing, so they are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. What you pay for is the work that genuinely costs something to run — video transcoding, and AI.
Fig 0.1 — Upload
One episode, one identity
Upload audio, then add video to the same episode rather than maintaining a second show. Both are stored against one episode with one permanent identifier, so nothing about the audio changes when video arrives.
Fig 0.2 — Distribute
Directories, including the regional ones
Apple and Spotify, plus platforms most hosts do not carry — Jio Saavn, Gaana and Anghami among 22 in all. Each destination shows its real submission state, not a blanket “submitted”.
Fig 0.3 — Measure
Downloads counted honestly
Downloads, episodes and destinations in one dashboard, counted from real delivery records. Chapters and transcripts ride along in the feed so apps and search engines can read your episodes.
Free, no account
See what podcast apps actually receive
Paste any RSS URL — ours or a competitor's — and get back what a podcast app parses out of it: how many episodes are genuinely visible, which Podcasting 2.0 tags are present, and anything that will stop an episode appearing at all.
Episodes can go missing from a feed silently, and a dashboard that says “published” is not evidence that a listener can see them. No host we checked will tell you this, so we will, before you have an account with us.
What you get
Unlimited storage, bandwidth and episodes
No upload-hour caps and no download ceilings. The whole category meters these; they cost us a fraction of a cent, so we do not.
Your own show page
A microsite per show with subscribe links to the platforms it is actually live on, plus your own links for a newsletter, merch or donations.
Private podcastsCreator and up
Publish to a named audience on a tokenised feed that works in a normal podcast app, without a separate listening app.
TeamsCreator and up
Invite people with real roles, so a producer or an analyst sees only what their role allows rather than everything.
Podcasting 2.0
Transcripts, chapters and a stable podcast GUID emitted in the feed, so modern apps and search engines can read your show.
Scheduling
Set a future publish date and the episode goes live on its own, through the same path a manual publish uses.
The guarantee
An episode's identity can never be rewritten
Every episode carries an identifier that subscribers' apps use to know they already have it. On most platforms editing an episode can quietly change that identifier, which re-downloads your back catalogue for everyone and reads as if you republished it. Here it is immutable — refused by the database, not promised in a support article.
How we differ
The same job, done without the meter running
| Feature | Hubhopper | A typical host |
|---|---|---|
| Storage, bandwidth and episodes | Unlimited on every plan, including free | Metered, and the usual reason to upgrade |
| See what podcast apps actually receive | ||
| Per-destination submission state | Each platform reports its own state | One blanket "submitted" |
| Episode identifiers that cannot be rewritten | Enforced by the database | Editing an episode can silently change it |
| Regional platforms — Jio Saavn, Gaana, Anghami | ||
| Audio and video on one episode | Upload and transcode today, in-feed video next | A separate video product, or nothing |
| Transcripts, chapters and a stable podcast GUID | Partial, often paid |
Pricing
Free, and unlimited where it matters
Storage, bandwidth and episodes are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. Paid plans exist for the work that genuinely costs money to run — video transcoding and AI — and for teams and private podcasts.
